South Yard Square: Creating Space for Community 🏀🛝

South Yard Square is already becoming a place for Titanic Quarter’s growing community to meet, play and get active. 💛

Located alongside the Loftlines development, the new public space includes a children’s play park featuring its distinctive ship-themed play structure 🛝, a 3×3 basketball court 🏀 and landscaped areas 🌿, all connected to the wider waterfront and Maritime Mile.

In our latest video 🎥, we hear from Dargan House resident Stephanie Furlong, who shares what having the new facilities on her doorstep means for her family.

For Stephanie, the play park provides an accessible place for her child to get outdoors, exercise and play, while also creating opportunities for families living nearby to meet other parents, make friends and become part of the local community. 💛

We also hear from Basketball Northern Ireland about its partnership with Titanic Quarter and the role the new 3×3 court can play in encouraging more people to get involved in basketball. 🏀🙌

The new facilities form part of the wider South Yard Square public realm, designed to create a welcoming space for residents, workers and visitors to enjoy.
