Titanic Belfast Completes First Phase of Events Space Investment

09 September 2026

Titanic Belfast has completed the first phase of a major investment programme across its event and hospitality spaces, with the iconic Titanic Suite reopening following an extensive refurbishment.

Home to the famous replica Grand Staircase, the Titanic Suite has been transformed with a range of new features including bespoke carpet, wall panelling, joinery and curtains, LED screens and a striking new colour palette.

Working in partnership with Garuda Design, the refreshed interiors draw inspiration from the distinctive architecture of Titanic Belfast and the decorative heritage of RMS Titanic, combining contemporary design with Belfast’s rich shipbuilding story.

Among the bespoke features is an Irish linen wallcovering created by a third-generation decorator whose grandfather worked on Titanic, providing a unique connection to the city’s shipbuilding heritage and local craftsmanship.

The new carpet takes inspiration from the angular shape and scale of Titanic Belfast, with geometric patterns influenced by decorative flooring aboard RMS Titanic, while Art Nouveau and Art Deco references feature throughout the design.

The investment comes during a period of continued growth for Titanic Belfast’s events business, with 60 domestic, national and international events scheduled between September and December.

Further phases of the investment programme will continue across Titanic Belfast’s Level 5 and 6 event and hospitality spaces, further strengthening the venue’s events offering within Titanic Quarter.
