Maritime Belfast Trust is inviting colleagues, partners and the local community to take part in its free monthly Waterfront Netwalk Programme, helping achieve an ambitious goal of 1 Million Steps. 1 Million Welcomes. across the Maritime Mile.

Taking place from July 2026 through to March 2027, each guided lunchtime walk explores a different theme while offering a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, enjoy some fresh air and learn more about Belfast’s rich maritime heritage.

2026 Walks
📅 29 July – Early Days of the Shipyard
📅 26 August – Listen, Walk & Connect with the Waterfront History of Queen’s Island
📅 30 September – Shipyard Tales at Thompson Dock
📅 28 October – City Quays & Sailortown’s Hidden Gems
📅 25 November – Nature on the Waterfront
📅 16 December – Hamilton Dock: Architecture & Heritage

2027 Walks
📅 27 January – Waterfront Biodiversity & Nature
📅 24 February – Waterfront Biodiversity & Nature
📅 31 March – The Lagan Weir: Above and Below

Each walk begins at 12:30pm, lasts approximately 45 minutes, and starts from a different location across the Waterfront.
