Founded in Belfast and headquartered in Titanic Quarter, CATAGEN has grown from a Queen’s University Belfast spin-out into an internationally recognised clean energy engineering company. The business develops advanced technologies that help industries reduce emissions and accelerate the transition to a low-carbon future.

The company’s expertise was originally built around green emissions testing for the automotive sector, helping manufacturers optimise catalytic converter performance and reduce harmful tailpipe emissions. Today, CATAGEN’s ambitions extend far beyond mobility, with innovative solutions spanning sustainable aviation fuel, green hydrogen, carbon capture and industrial decarbonisation technologies.

At the heart of CATAGEN’s work is a simple but powerful purpose: creating cleaner air and supporting global net-zero goals.
