Titanic Quarter Strengthens Commitment to Young Athletes with Continued Support for Ulster University Performance Sport Scholarship
Titanic Quarter is proud to reaffirm its commitment to nurturing the next generation of sporting talent in Northern Ireland through the continued sponsorship of the Performance Sport Scholarship at Ulster University.
This year, we are delighted to announce that Niamh O’Leary has once again been selected as the scholarship recipient. Niamh’s dedication, resilience, and exceptional talent made her a standout choice last year, and her continued progress – both on and off the court – has made it an easy decision to support her again in 2025.
Currently in the final year of her Marketing degree, Niamh successfully balances her academic commitments with part-time work and her passion for coaching. She plays a vital role in developing young athletes across Northern Ireland, coaching Primary School teams, Junior NBA programmes, Basketball NI (BBNI) sessions, as well as Summer and Halloween basketball camps. Her contribution to grassroots sport mirrors the leadership, drive, and dedication she demonstrates in her own sporting career.
The Performance Sport Scholarship provides elite athletes with financial assistance, academic flexibility, and access to world-class training resources – helping them balance the demands of university life while pursuing success in their sporting careers.
James Eyre, Chief Executive of Titanic Quarter Ltd, said:
“We are thrilled to support Niamh for another year as she continues to excel both academically and athletically. Titanic Quarter is committed to investing in the potential of young people across Northern Ireland, and this scholarship is a fantastic opportunity to help promising athletes reach new heights.”
Our partnership with Ulster University reflects our long-term ambition to champion young talent, promote wellbeing, and support pathways to elite performance across the region.
We wish Niamh every success in the year ahead and look forward to following her journey.
