Titanic Quarter's Project Manager, Philp Corr - CIOB Membership!

18th May, 2018

Philip Corr, Project Manager at Titanic Quarter, was recently admitted as a member to the CIOB entitling him to use the designation MCIOB, and ‘Chartered Construction Manager’.

The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) is a worldwide professional body that represents construction and property professionals who are working within the built environment.  Philip has worked as Project Manager at the vibrant Titanic Quarter for more than 10 years.  Master planned over 185 acres, the site is one of the largest waterfront regeneration projects in Europe, where 18,000 people work, play and live on a daily basis, and where over 1 million people visit every year.

Philp has been involved in major developments such the Public Records of NI (PRONI) building; the landmark luxury ARC apartments, now home to over 1000 residents; Belfast Met’s state of the art TQ campus; and the grade A, Gold LEED 130,000 sq ft Gateway Offices which are fully occupied by Citi – to name just a few.  Many more exciting projects are ready to break ground in Titanic Quarter, ensuring Philip’s packed workload continues.

Philip commented, “Becoming a Chartered Member of the Institute allows me to continually build on my technical knowledge, and strengthen my commitment to maintaining and presenting a good corporate image, with both colleagues and clients, according to the professional ethics rules and regulations specified by CIOB.  It also means recognition as a professional and being highly regarded among peers in the Construction industry.  This ultimately provides clients with the assurance that they will receive professional and quality services in the delivery of their projects.  MCIOB also shows my commitment to further develop and advance my knowledge of construction as the industry continually changes with the use of innovation.”

In addition, Philip has been elected to represent members on the CIOB Belfast local hub committee to promote and encourage membership of the CIOB, and to maintain the body as the leading local construction organisation.  This involves contributing to events and the overall strategic plan which sets out a vision to achieve overall aims and objectives.

Philip undoubtedly brings great experience and knowledge of the industry to the work of the CIOB.
